The Lying Media
Good day visitors! Today I want to add another rather political article and I promise that it'll be the last one for a while. After all this is not a political blog, but a blog focussing mainly on corporate criminals. The thing is there are a lot of screwed-up things going on in this world, well that's usually the case, but also in terms of mainstream media and how they try to brainwash and lie to the public. That is why I think it is very important to highlight these lies. It is actually not solely the massmedia lying but more the politicians. But it is the media that is reporting these lies, doesn't bother to question them and reports often very one sided. That's why it is vital that at least the viewer in the end questions what he/she is seeing and hearing on TV or reading in the papers.
Especially since these planes flew into the World Trade Ctr. and Pentagon 2 1/2 years ago we've been bombarded with scams and lies. And how do we know, if we don't question the news reports? - We simply won't!
Here is an example of one of the greatest scams known. It is widely known as the "Incubator lie".
The 'Incubator Lie'
The great Iraq War (I) lie. The pictured girl told the world under tears that she saw how Saddam Hussein's soldiers took babies out of their incubators and let them die on the cold floor. In November 1990 Bush told this lie to the soldiers.
The truth: she hadn't been in Kuwait at the time. The girl was in fact the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador in Washington, USA.
Last year the US admin even admitted the scam.
Let us review some of the lies in connection with the 1st and 2nd Gulf war, shall we?
1991 Gulf War Facts:
Satellite Photos a Lie
The US Government lied about an imminent invasion of Saudi Arabia by Iraq to justify the 1st Gulf War. General Norman Schwarzkopf tells about it in his book, "It Doesn't Take A Hero". The Bush Administration claimed Satellite photos showed 260,000 troops & 1,500 tanks were on the Saudi border. There were none.
Powell later admitted the "numbers were wrong". There was no imminent invasion of Saudi Arabia by Iraq.
Baby Murders Faked
The Kuwait Ambassador's daughter, coached by a Washington PR firm for $2 million, lied to US Congress and the UN about the infamous "Incubator Baby" murders.
US OK'd Kuwait Invasion
April Glaspie of the US State Department told Saddam, "I have a direct instruction from the President to seek better relations with Iraq... But we have no opinion on the Arab-Arab conflicts, like your border disagreement with Kuwait."

No "Poison Factory"
Powell testified to the UN that there was a "Poison Factory" in northern Iraq. Foreign Journalists were invited in two days later and found nothing, not even aspirin.

George Tenet of the CIA testified to Congress that attacking Iraq would greatly increase the chance of terrorism and Saddam unleashing any weapons of mass destruction he might have.

A Fountain of Lies - The Bush regime spins Iraq
There are outright lies and there are lies of omission. The Bush regime seems to spin them all, especially with regard to war weary Iraq. As noted in the recent report from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace the Bush Whitehouse stands accused of "systematically misrepresenting" the threat posed by "Iraq's weapons of mass destruction". Remember once the "only question" was whether Saddam would disarm, now U.S. troops are in Iraq to bring "democracy". And, what was Iraq supposed to disarm? WMDs? Where did those weapons come from? Where did they go?? We were told Saddam gassed his own people, but that's not what a senior CIA annalist said! How about that weapons grade uranium from Africa that Bush mentioned in last years state of the union address? What was that about Iraq possessing smallpox weapons? Actually, a prestigious science journal has reported that the US has developed spying on UN Security Council and the Whitehouse "non-denial" of the incident?
Of course, Iraq is not the only subject fit for the Empire's weapons of mass deception. There's always the 9/11 investigation or the Bush regime hypocrisy on the recent Russian elections. How about Election 2000 in the U.S.? Soon the world may be hearing new yarns spun by the folksy cowboy in the Whitehouse about say, regime change in Cuba? Stay tuned. 2004 promises to be the Year of the Fountain of Lies.
It is critical to be critical - The media cannot be trusted!
